This month I read 7 books. I will be giving the Synopsis and my star rating for each book! This was a good month for reading but I would have liked to read more. I really enjoyed all the books I did read this month. These will be in the order I read them!
1.Opposition- by Jennifer L. Armentrout, This is book 5 in the Lux series and I gave it a 5/5 Stars.
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came. She Can’t believe Daemon stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have been blurred. Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell fried form foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything to ensure the survival of their friends… and mankind.
2. Shadows- by Jennifer L. Armentrout- This is the Prequel to the Lux series. I gave this a 5/5 Stars.
The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. To him, human girls are..well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane. Dangerous. Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in. Captivated. Dawson can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or stop a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.
3. Fair Game- by Monica Murphy- 4/5 Stars- This is a New Adult Book.
When your boyfriend bets on YOU in a poker game, you better know when to run… Bad enough Jade Frost’s boyfriend drags her to a boring poker game. Even worse that he actually threw her into the betting pot during an intense round… and lost. Talk about the perfect excuse for Jade to make him he ex-boyfriend. Now she supposedly belongs to the ultra rich, extremely gorgeous Shep Prescott. He could have anything he wants yet he seems to be in hot pursuit of her. No matter how she acts, it doesn’t stop him. More like her horrible behavior seems to make him want her more. When she finds herself starting to fall for him, Jade’s confused. There’s more to Shep than the carefree rich charmer he portrays. No way could he want a serious relationship with her.. or could he?
4. The Last Shot- by Sara Hubbard- 4.5/5 Stars- This is a New Adult book.
Annie: As a child I was unwanted and unloved. Tossed aside until my maternal grandmother came to claim me. Life got better after that, and it got better still when I met Ethan Michaels. The boy down the street who was determined to make me feel like I mattered. At first he was my friend, but then he became much more. But love isn’t real. Not in my world. When Ethan left to pursue professional hockey I had to make a clean break. I couldn’t wait for him to find someone better, couldn’t wait for him to break my heart. It’s better to leave than be left. But now he’s back, and I can’t run from him anymore. Worse… he wont let me. Ethan: Annie Fraser owned me as a kid. She owns me still. When I got my first contract to play professional hocky I asked her to come with me, but she wouldn’t leave Rawdon, not while her grandmother was sick. I understood. Still, I wanted to stay together, do whatever I could to keep her. But she wanted to run. I loved her enough to let her. Now I’m back in town and I’m still pissed. I think I hate her. I’m sure of it. Until I see her… and those old feelings come rushing back. I won’t let her walk away again. I don’t care what It takes.
5. Unite Me- by Tahereh Mafi- this is the novellas to her Shatter Me series.- 5/5 Stars
Juliette will not stand alone. In a battle that will decide the fate of her world… In Destroy Me, Warner, the ruthless leader of sector 45, refuses to let her go. In Fracture Me, Adam, Juliette’s first love, will do anything to get her back.
6. The Heir- by Kiera Cass- 5/5 Stars
Princess Eadlyn has grown up hearing the endless stories about hoe her mother and father met. Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the selection and won the heart of Prince Maxon-and they lived happily ever after. Eadlyn has always found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying to repeat it. If it were up to her, she’d put off marriage fro as long as possible. 7. This is What Happy Looks Like- by Jennifer E Smith- 4.5/5 Stars
Graham Larkin and Ellie O’Neill meet- albeit virtually- when Graham accidently sends Ellie an e-mail about his pet pig, Wilbur. The two seventeen-year-olds strike up an email relationship, even though they don’t even know each other’s first name. But can two people from such different world’s be togther despite the odds stacked against them?
